                           The Midnight Mystery 

                                                         Chapter 1 

                         I had went to bed around 8. When I woke up It was midnight I had heard a loud bang out side and then a squeak and a loud thud. I knew that if I did not fall asleep soon my hope of sleep was over. Being an amateur detective I knew I would began to pursue the mystery. Sadly I could not keep from thinking of the sounds and the mystery. I lay awake in bed till 5 and finally got up. I went downstairs and retrieved my paper from the door. On the front page it said:                                                         Have You Seen This CHILD Maria Stacy                                                                                      Blond Female 5 years of age Last Seen After School Friday. Blue Eyes, about 3ft tall. Call 303-419-5541 if you see this child. 

                       I quickly ate some breakfast and went to investigate the noise I had heard the Night before. Today was Saturday and Maria had disappeared yesterday. When I found the area where the sound had come from I realised that it led to the other apartment building. I decided that I would go to the police station and ask if any suspicious people lived in my neighborhood. There was something odd about how that noise happened and that child disappeared that day. 

                                                       Chapter 2                                                 

                 As I strolled over to the Police Station I saw my best friend Anna.                                                 "Hey Kellie! Where are you going?" She asked                                                                                   " The Station." I answered. She rolled her eyes and followed me. She knew I was going to end up caught in a mystery so she followed me there.                                                                                         " What's today's mystery?"                                                                                                                      "Hard to explain, but I heard a strange noise last night and it led to the other apartment so I wanted to ask about any suspicious  people in my neighborhood." she shook her head and laughed. 

          We walked in to the station and saw people hurrying every where.                                                     "Hey Chief!" I called                                                                                                                                 "Ooh! Hey Kellie how are you doing another mystery?"                                                                       "Yeah." I quickly relayed all of my suspicions to him and he gave me a sheet of suspicious people and told me to be careful. 

                                                     Chapter 3 

          When I got home I sat down and studied the records of the people on the list. I realised on of them lived right next door and had a history of kidnapping young children. I knew that I could be over reacting so I put aside my nagging feeling and made some lunch. After Lunch I got ready to leave for Tennis when I heard another sound like the night before. I quickly darted to my window and saw a man carrying a sack with something struggling Inside.                                                                           " Be quiet you or else" He spoke to the sack. 

         I gasped and decide to wait for the evening news to see if another child was missing and decided to come home as soon as possible.  

                                                            . . .

          When I got home yet another paper's Front page showed a missing child. 

                                    Have You Seen This CHILD Melody Jones

                   Brunette Female 5 years of  age last seen this morning. Call 303-419-5541. 

           This is becoming very frequent and I don't like that. I sighed and decided to steak out and see if that guy came out again. Not a moment to soon and I saw him come out and have an empty sack about the size of a 5 year old! An hour later he came back with another struggling bag I quickly sprinted down my stairs and asked him "What is in that bag?" still breathing heavy                   "Why are you asking Girl?"he responded                                                                                             " Just a friendly question from a neighbor," before I could say anything else their was a scream of help from inside the bag! Before I could say more he dropped the bag and bolted leaving his keys and the bag. I quickly opened the bag and found my niece Laura!                                                        "Aunt Kellie!" she squeaked, and she began sobbing. Quickly picking her up and the bag and keys I ran her inside. Quickly I locked the door and dropped the things on the floor and carried her to the couch and stroked her red hair. She looked at me with her Blue eyes welled with tears and said "Thank You! Thank You!"then she began balling again. I told her I'd be right back and went and got her a juice box and some grapes and brought her them she grabbed the Juice box and began to drink her juice.                                                                                                                             I asked her if she could Identify him with a picture and she nodded. I brought over the picture of the man I had a bad feeling about and asked her if she thought he was her kidnapper she nodded "I know it's him!" Then she began to eat the grapes and quit speaking. 

                                                       Chapter 4

             I grabbed the keys and Laura and called my best friend Anna. She came over and saw Laura and after I explained she agreed to watch her and be my heads up. I grabbed a 2 way radio and left one for her and went to find evidence in his apartment. After getting directions I made my way to the apartment. After unlocking the door I saw Maria and Melody sitting in dog kennels. Which were locked with padlocks. Quickly closing the door I crept over to Melody and asked her where the keys were she pointed to a key rack. Quickly grabbing the keys I unlocked the lock and pulled her out and did the same for Maria. After Freeing them I quickly locked the door and carried them to my house. With the 2 girls I walked into the house after knocking and set them on the couch by my niece. After grabbing them some fruit and juice I called the number on the paper and The police. 
        When they arrived and saw the girls they asked me where I found them. After explaining  every thing they put out a search warrant for the apartment. When we got there we came in and found the cages and a room with Marcie Gray who went missing at the age of 13. That was 12 years ago when I was 10. After Freeing her we set a trap for Mr. Dugg.  We waited in my apartment and waited for him to return.

                                                       Chapter 5

                         We sent the young girls home when there parents came and waited for our kidnapper. Marcie explained that he kept her as a pet and was going to keep her prisoner till he died. She asked about her family and was sad to hear that two years ago they were killed in a car crash all except for her little sister Isabella. Who is 22 and she arrived as soon as we called. They sat crying  with relief. Then I saw him return and radioed the police who converged and caught him.                                                                                                                                                                                  Two days later Marcie and her sister stopped by and asked me if I was in the mood for a Lunch date and I replied yes. As we walked to the restaurant we found out that Isabella and I had went to school at the same place. After lunch we walked by the jewelry store and they asked if we could walk in. When we came in I saw that her aunt ran this store. She repeatedly thanked me and insisted on giving me a charm bracelet. The charm on the bracelet was a lock and key. After walking home I wondered if My next mystery would be more exciting.

                                        The Ocean   

                   How much do you like the ocean? Well I like the Ocean a lot because there is so much of it that we have not even explored! We could by polluting it and over fishing it lose some of the coolest animals out there. But enough on the dreary part on destroying it think about how cool it is. For example, Have you heard about The whale shark? It may sound scary but it is one of the coolest animals out there! (and by the way they don't have teeth!)Whale Sharks eat krill not Seals or things like that so don't be scared they'll eat you! Whale Sharks are huge like whales but have a fin on there back. And sort of look like sharks! (See Not So Scary)

See Just a Pretty little Shark!

                                                                                                                                                                                     The ocean is one of the coolest places on earth wouldn't you agree? If I haven't convinced you yet here is another cool animal to think about is the clown fish! Have you watched Finding Nemo? Well Nemo is a clown fish they are some of the coolest animals in the world they live in anemones which kill fish who go in them! How do they survive then? They are adapted to living in the anemones they don't heart them! The fish the anemones kill and do not eat become meals for the Clown Fish! So see the ocean is cool!

               The next animal I will describe to you is The Sea Horse! Though tiny the species is more then just a little thing they are one of the coolest fishes in the sea! Did you know that the male cares for the children!? Well I wish that was true for us, any who do you think that is cool well there is more there tails are used to grab on to weeds in the ocean and keep from drifting a way with the current! Also these amazing creatures do so many things to survive and they are good at what they do! All though it's sad I can't speak of these amazing creatures any longer there are many more creatures vying begging  for the spotlight!
         
             Okay I know this may be getting tedious but Have I convinced you the ocean  is cool yet????If not then what more can I say to convince you?! There are oh never mind If I have not convinced you yet there is nothing more I can Say I've nearly spoken of all of my personal coolest animals from the Sea! What do you want to hear More!?!? Okay you've twisted my hand have you ever heard of a Sea Turtle? Well to survive past your first day is a struggle here there easy pickings for other animals until they get to the ocean. Also they barley make it to the sea if they do they have officially survived there first day these little guys have a fight to survive as soon as they hatch!

           Okay have I Convinced you know!?!? What your still not sure?!Well I have one more animal to talk about! The Octopus as you May already know has Eight legs  arms. But did you know they can change colors to avoid being seen???? These guys are asome because when they blend in you have to know where to look to find them! Though predators these guys are hunted to so they fight to survive just like anyone!Well I hope I convinced you if not the ocean isn't for you sorry but at least you know there are some cool parts to the ocean!
